History & Management
The concept of Naran Club originated from the vision of M. Shuja Khan, who recognized a unique gap in Pakistan’s tourism and club landscape. For many years, members of leading national clubs across the country frequently traveled to the northern regions particularly the Kaghan–Naran Valley for leisure, seasonal retreats, and recreation. Despite the valley’s growing prominence as one of Pakistan’s most admired mountain destinations, the region lacked a dedicated private club facility where visitors could enjoy the same standards of hospitality, community, and refined club environment available in major cities.
Observing this need, Mr. Shuja Khan envisioned the creation of a distinguished mountain club that would extend the traditions of private membership beyond the urban centers and into the natural beauty of Pakistan’s northern landscape. His idea was to establish a club where members could experience the tranquility of the mountains while enjoying the comfort, exclusivity, and social character associated with established private clubs.
The realization of this vision became possible through the development of Mountain Village Naran, a master-planned resort destination conceived and developed under the leadership of Syed Hummad Ali Shah, Patron and Founder of the project. With deep roots in the Kaghan region and a long-term commitment to responsible tourism development, Mr. Hummad Ali Shah undertook the development of a structured mountain destination designed to elevate the hospitality standards of the valley.
As the project evolved, the establishment of Naran Club emerged as the natural institutional extension of this vision an entity dedicated to hospitality management, member engagement, and the long-term stewardship of the destination’s club environment.
Formally incorporated as Naran Club (Private) Limited and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the club operates under a structured governance and management framework designed to ensure transparency, professionalism, and sustainable growth.
Guided by its founders and supported by a professional management team, Naran Club represents a new chapter in Pakistan’s private club tradition one that brings the spirit of club life into the serenity of the mountains. Here, refined hospitality, wellness, recreation, and community converge within the extraordinary natural setting of the Kaghan Valley.
As the club continues to grow, it aspires to become a landmark institution in the northern region, offering members a distinctive retreat while contributing to the sustainable development of tourism and the preservation of the valley’s cultural and environmental heritage.
